PURPOSE: To provide a color liquid crystal display panel in which display quality is improved. CONSTITUTION: As to this liquid crystal display panel which is provided with a lighting area S1 and a non-lighting area S2 formed on the external periphery of the area S1, and is provided with one electrode substrate 2 having plural first electrodes, the other electrode substrate 1 having plural second electrodes crossing at a right angle with the plural first electrodes, and a liquid crystal layer injected and sealed between the substrates 2 and 1, and in which the substrate 2 is provided with light shielding films 3 and 33 formed on the substrate 2 and the color filters 4 to 6 and 34 to 36 arranged between the films 3 and 33, and the plural first electrodes are formed on the films 3 and 33 and on the color filters 4 to 6 and 34 to 36; the films 3 and 33 are constituted of a synthetic resin film with black pigment dispersed, and the light shielding ratio of the area S2 is larger than that of the area S1. |
