<p>PURPOSE: To set an arbitrary plane as an input surface and easily perform not only input on a desk top, but also direct input on a display device, input in a space without directly touching the plane, and input requiring remote operation, etc. CONSTITUTION: This electronic equipment has an input means 21 equipped with detecting means 22 and 23 which detect information on a position in a space. The information on the position which is continuously shifted is stored (25), stroke data on a written character are previously registered (26), and the stored information on position is converted into position information on a specific plane and an axial direction crossing it at right angles; and a pattern drawn in a space is regarded as a stroke on a specific plane, this stroke is compared with the said registered stroke data, and the data equal to it are recognized as a character. The font data of the character are read in (27, and displayed (28 and 29).</p> |
