PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for pitch extraction which can accurately extract the pitch of a speech signal having various characteristics. SOLUTION: Autocorrelation data on an input speech signal in frame units having its frequency band limited by an HPF 12 and an LPF 16 respectively are found by autocorrelation calculation parts 13 and 17 respectively, pitch lags are calculated and normalized by pitch intensity/pitch lag calculation parts 14 and 18, and the pitch reliability of the input speech signal having its band limited by the HPF 12 and LPF 15 is calculated by evaluation parameter calculation parts 15 and 19. A selection part 20 selects one of the parameters obtained from the input speech signal by using the pitch lags, evaluation parameters, etc. |
