The flat material (10) is contained in a housing (1) with lid (2). A piece of the flat material protrudes out of the housing through an opening near which is an outlet edge (16) spaced apart from a cutting edge along which slides a cutter carriage (15) belonging to the cutter (3). The cutter carriage is guided along the flap-lid. The outlet edge is staggered in position in relation to the cutting edge into the housing. A wall section displaced inside the housing corresponding to the outlet edge extends from the outlet edge to the cutting edge. The lid is locked onto the housing with snap hooks (13).
