<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of appropriately controlling a bias voltage applied to an electrifying roller even when environment is changed without complicating its configuration and control and without causing a cost rising. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus equipped with an electrifying means for electrifying the surface of an image carrier, and a transfer means for transferring a toner image formed by the image carrier to transfer material, is constituted to solve the problems by being equipped with a resistance value detection means for detecting the resistance value of the transfer means due to environmental change and a control means for controlling bias applied to the electrifying means in accordance with the result of detection by the resistance value detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
