PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple dwelling house interphone system which can cope with a call from a multiple hall, a custodian room and an other home when a resident is outside his own home in a multiple dwelling house. SOLUTION: This interphone system consists of a multiple hall set 1, a plurality of living room base units 2a, 2b ..., a custodian room base unit 3, a common institution base unit 4 and a control set 5 for controlling them. The control set 5 is equipped with a memory 52 and a CPU 50. The memory 52 stores a date for visiting an other home or the common institution or the custodian room, a place ID and visit destination data of a self living room number which are inputted from operation parts 11, 21, 41, 46. When the resident is outside his own home in the multiple dwelling house and called from the multile hall or the custodian room or other home, the CPU 50 performs control for transmitting and transferring a call signal to the living room base unit, the other home and the common institution or the custodian room, on the basis of information of the living room base unit and/or the memory. The living room base unit, the custodian room base unit and the common institution are equipped with speech synthesis circuit 25, 35, 42 which sound a number of the living room or the like on the basis of information of the memory.
