PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of disadvantages in terms of the total printing efficiency due to the need of a changing operation with respect to the conventional printing data in the case of newly introducing an apparatus of the conventional methods for executing form overlay printing, such as a method of synthesizing printing data and an electronic form by a printing controlling unit, and a method of synthesizing an electronic form with original data using a dedicated application or a printer driver at the host side before providing the printing data, which requires an operation of adding information for synthesizing an electronic form to the printing data or producing new printing data with an electronic form synthesized, to a printing environment with a large amount of printing data described in a printing language stored. SOLUTION: A means for setting or storing data concerning form overlay printing from an inputting unit connected with a printing controlling unit to the printing controlling unit is provided so that the problems in the conventional techniques can be solved.
