PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filtering system for a pool in which the quantity of water to be used is saved, the management is easily performed and the piping are simple. SOLUTION: The filtering system for the pool comprises a cylindrical filter housing 20 in which a filter bag 74 is supported in a perforated liner 68. A skimmer housing 26 is attached on the cylindrical housing 20 and skims water off from the surface 12 of the pool. The surface 12 of the pool communicates to an inlet chamber 40 through a perforated skimmer basket 42 which catches debris floating on the surface 12 of the pool. The main distributing water pipe 14 of the pool 10 is connected directly to the inlet chamber 40. An outlet of the cylindrical housing 20 communicates directly with the inlet port of a pump 48 that returns filtered water to the pool 10.
