An apparatus is disclosed which is capable of the heat sealing of a web or the like to the body of a multiple compartment container, such as a medical dosing pack, in which individual heat seals 54 are provided around the mouths of individual wells 55 in the main body of the container during sealing. Also disclosed is a method consistent with normal operation of the apparatus as already described. A particularly notable embodiment of the container is of a dosage system with timed, such as daily, rations of medication for patients with time, such as day, labelled wells. With this embodiment the medication, such as in the form of pills, are enclosed before sealing takes place. |
