<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil for an internal combustion engine by which a steel plate is utilized effectively and which has the high degree of freedom to a layout. <P>SOLUTION: The ignition coil for the internal combustion engine is provided with a first core passing in a cylinder of a bobbin which is formed in a cylindrical shape, and on which the coil is wound and held; and a second core which passes on the outer periphery of the bobbin and joined at the end of the first core for constituting a closed magnetic circuit between the first core and the second core. The steel plate is utilized effectively and the waste of resources is reduced while the degree of freedom to the layout can be improved because the second core is configured so that the narrow width steel plate as a core material is wound and laminated in a rectangular shape or an elliptic shape while both ends of the laminated steel plate are bent and constituted so that both laminated surfaces are opposed and the first core is held between the opposed laminated surfaces. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
