<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed in which a pressure to the belly in the case of raising the back is satisfactorily reduced and the occurrence of deviation of the body such as the upper half of the body is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: This bed is provided with a back raising mechanism for moving a portion to be the lower end of a back bottom 11 in a back raising attitude approximately horizontally to the side of the head when moving the back bottom 11 from a horizontal attitude to the back raising attitude, and a link mechanism for moving a waist bottom 12 approximately horizontally to the side of the head while linking it to the movement of the back bottom 11 when moving the back bottom 11 from the horizontal attitude to the back raising attitude. Thus, in the case of raising the back, not only the pressure to the belly (a) of a person is satisfactorily reduced but also the back is raised while pulling the waist (d) to the side of the bed 1.
