<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating hardly decomposable waste water by reducing the sludge derived from additives and organic components as far as possibly. <P>SOLUTION: The method for treating the waste water comprises a biological treating step of treating the hardly decomposable waste water by organisms, an electrochemical treating step of adding the additives containing metal ions to the waste water and subjecting the waste water to electrolytic oxidation and reduction by using metallic electrodes, and a solid-liquid separating step of subjecting the treated waste water to a solid-liquid separation. The concentration of water pollution in the biological treating step is measured and the amount of the additives to be added is controlled by the measured value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
