<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device for a vehicle including an airbag housing having a fragile part which can be burst, an airbag housed in a folded state in the airbag housing to burst the fragile part at a time of inflation and development, and an inflator for generating gas for expanding and developing the airbag, capable of sufficiently improving a speed of exhaust response from the airbag. <P>SOLUTION: A shutter 32 for opening and closing an exhaust outlet 31 is mounted on a case 30 air-tightly connected to an opening part 26a of the airbag 26, formed of rigid material, and having the exhaust outlet 31 provided thereon.
