<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump water heater capable of highly efficiently boiling up bathtub water in a short period of time. <P>SOLUTION: Water in a hot water storage tank 1 is introduced to a heat pump unit 30 by a supply water circulating pump 6, and is heated to a high temperature by taking heat from a carbon dioxide refrigerant by a water supply heat exchanger 7 in the heat pump unit 30, and is then returned in the hot water storage tank 1 via a water supply return pipe 5 and a three-way valve 8. A reheating heat exchanger 9 and a water supply return pipe 10 are connected to one downstream side of the three-way valve 8, and the water supply return pipe 10 is connected to the central vicinity of the hot water storage tank 1. A bypass pipe 11 is connected to the other downstream side of the three-way valve 8, and the bypass pipe 11 is connected to a top surface of the hot water storage tank 1. Hot water in the bathtub 16 is introduced to the reheating heat exchanger 9 via a bathtub circulating metal fitting 15 and a reheating return pipe 12 by a reheating circulating pump 14, and is reheated here, and is thereafter returned in the bathtub 16 via a reheating going pipe 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
