PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control device which is capable of achieving reliable failure-associated control even in a failure, and more compact in size than a complete redundant system. SOLUTION: The brake control device comprises a first control unit for controlling pressure in each wheel cylinder of a vehicle, and a second control unit capable of grouping the wheel cylinders of the vehicle in a diagonal system or a longitudinal system and controlling pressure in the wheel cylinder of only one system of the grouped systems.
