<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a dynamo-electric machine operate effectively in a hybrid vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The hybrid vehicle comprises a clutch 3 transmitting and cutting off power between an engine 1 and a transmission 2, a rotary electric machine 4, a reduction ratio variable unit 6 for transmitting power between the rotary electric machine 4 and the transmission 2 by nonstage transmission, a battery element for storing power supplied to the rotary electric machine 4, and a controlling means for controlling the engine 1, clutch 3, rotary electric machine 4, and reduction ratio variable unit 6 according to a drive condition. The controlling means controls power output from the rotary electric machine 4 to obtain a required power output from the rotary electric machine 4, and has a rotary electric machine drive controlling means 10 for controlling the number of revolutions of the rotary electric machine 4 and the reduction ratio variable unit 6 so as to achieve the optimum efficiency of the rotary electric machine 4 on the basis of an efficiency optimum line of the rotary electric machine 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
