PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nuclear reactor removal method efficiently transferring materials dismantled within a reactor building from the reactor building to a storage facility. SOLUTION: The reactor building 100 and a turbine building 9 built in a nuclear power plant facility are directly connected with each other by an existing main steam tunnel (tunnel) 10, and the main steam tunnel 10 is used as a carrying-out passage in dismantlement of a reactor pressure vessel 2 stored in the reactor building 100 to transport and store the dismantled materials to and in the turbine building 9 through the main steam tunnel 10. Since only a first crew of operators suffices for the operation by using the existing main steam tunnel 10 as the carrying-out passage of dismantled materials, the operation staff is significantly reduced. Since a series of operations of carrying-out, transporting, and storage are carried out only by the first crew, the dismantled materials are efficiently transferred from the reactor building 100 to the turbine building 9.
