PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a fiber board capable of obtaining a resin mixed fiber mat having less uneven distribution and falling-off of a powdered resin and a mat former used for the same; and an apparatus for manufacturing a resin mixed fiber mat.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a fiber board includes the steps of: (A) a lamination step of supplying a powdered resin 2 onto a vegetable resin 1 to form a laminate 3; (B) a fibrillation step of fibrillating the laminate 3 and thereby mixing the vegetable fiber 1 and the powdered resin 2, and dropping the mixture downward; (C) a resin mixed fiber mat formation step of receiving the fibrillated and dropped mixture 4 in a downward conveyance path 32 of which intervals of facing conveyances surfaces 33A and 34A become gradually narrow, conveying the mixture 4, and thereby pressurizing the mixture 4 while sandwiching the mixture 4 with the facing conveyances surfaces 33A and 34A to form a resin mixed fiber mat 5; and (D) a molding step of hot-pressing the resin mixed fiber mat 5 to manufacture a fiber board.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
