An electrical machine comprises a lamination core assembled inside a frame with an interference fit. The core has notches for reducing stress inside the frame on a surface portion forming the interference fit. The notches extend from an outer surface of the core toward the center of the machine. The present invention is particularly beneficial when an operating or storage temperature is reduced. The prevent invention can be also applied to a shaft assembled into a rotor core. |
