PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device and a control method for causing an energy storage system to operate within the range of a dead band that is an allowable range to a control target value.SOLUTION: An energy storage system 10 includes: a battery management system 310 for monitoring a battery state of a battery 300, and controlling a discharge operation of the battery; and a power management system 100 for determining a control target value of the battery, acquiring electric power market adjustment rule information of an electric power market including the energy storage system, calculating a dead band value to the control target value on the basis of the acquired electric power market adjustment rule information, and controlling the battery management system for controlling a discharge operation of the battery on the basis of a dead band value to the calculated control target value and a monitored battery state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
