PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To steadily exert toner replenishment control even in the case that the linear velocity of a photoreceptor is altered.
SOLUTION: An output value from a toner concentration sensor when the photoreceptor is moved at a normal linear velocity is stored in a nonvolatile memory each time specific printing is carried out. When the linear velocity is altered, an output value in the beginning of the alteration of the linear speed is read after a predetermined length of time. A difference between this output value and that output value obtained at the time of the normal linear velocity, which is stored in the nonvolatile memory, is calculated. After the alteration of the linear velocity, the difference is compensated for and toner replenishment is carried out.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
