<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a desired print by performing auto-print surely even when it is interrupted by turning off the power in a printer for automatically printing a digital still image recorded on a recording medium by means of a digital still camera or a digital video camera. <P>SOLUTION: A nonvolatile memory 9 and a comparing section 10 are provided and information on a recording medium, e.g. a memory card, recording auto-print record information and the image under auto-print, is stored in the nonvolatile memory 9 so that even when auto-print is interrupted by turning off the power, auto-print is resumed after power is supplied again based on the auto-print record information stored in the nonvolatile memory 9 when a decision is made at the comparing section 10 that the information of the recording medium stored in the nonvolatile memory 9 matches the content of the memory card. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
