<p>1365143 Valves ABEX CORP 1 Oct 1971 [23 Oct 1970] 45892/71 Heading F2V In a fluid power transfer system of either the hydraulic or pneumatic type where a fluid motor 10 in one system transfers power to a fluid pump 18 in the second system, the outlet line 22 of the pump is provided with a control apparatus for dividing the fluid flow between a work port 28, for connection to a work system W, and a bypass port 43 for connection to a bypass system, 46, 21, which apparatus comprises a piston 35 which regulates the flow through the work and bypass ports and is responsive to the fluid pressure in the work system to increase the flow through the work port and decrease the flow through the bypass port as the fluid pressure decreases. The pressure in the work system is transmitted through a line 47 to a chamber 41 which also houses a load spring 40 to act on the piston. The bypass line comprises a line 44, groove 43 and orifices 42 in the part 32 of the piston 35 which lead to reservoir 21. A stop 23 on the piston 35 limits movement to the point where the workport is just closed by the element. The workport may be a peripheral groove extending around the bore as shown in Fig. 1 or it may be rectangular in shape where it opens to the bore.</p> |
