The invention relates to compounds possessing GABA-like sedative and tranquilizing activity, characterized by being of general formula: X1OC-(CH2)2-NH-(CH2)3-CO-X2 where X1 and X2 are hydroxyl, a C1-C6 alkoxy group or a free or substituted amino group, X1 being the same as or different from X2. The invention also relates to processes for their preparation, and composition for pharmaceutical and veterinary use which contains them.
