In an adjusting device for power-regulated or -controlled rotary-piston engines and machines, especially a sliding-vane adjusting device for (dual-flow) vane-cell coolant compressors, with mechanical adjusting means acting on the sliding vane for the purpose of adjusting it, it is proposed to arrange on the end of the machine casing a casing (3) which contains a pressure-medium-controlled pivoting drive (20, 20') acting on the sliding-vane adjustment and which is divided by at least one pivoted vane (4; 4a, 4b) of the pivoting drive (20, 20') into at least two working subchambers (14, 15), these working subchambers being connected alternately to the intake or delivery side of the machine via a control valve (9, 9') for the purpose of pivoting in opposite directions and a corresponding adjustment of the sliding vanes. <IMAGE>
