Pesticides and plant treatment agents, characterized in that they consist of carrier-free cell granules of microorganisms which are suitable for combating pests or for treating plants, or at least contain carrier-free cell granules of such microorganisms, where the cell granules are formed by fungi or bacteria capable of forming a mycelium, and where the cell granules have an essentially spherical shape and diameters of from 0.05 to 2 mm.
