MOXACAUTERY

The moxa is produced in a thin bar shape to be placed for burning at an accurate point on the skin and not to cause a skin burn on a large area in cauterizing. Crushed mugwort is mixed with cotton to be spun into a core yarn, which is then passed through a gelatine solution dissolved in the ratio of gelatine 300g per water one litre to be coated with gelatine and again with crushed mugwort. The coated yarn is dried to pass through another gelatine solution in the ratio of gelatine 100g per water one litre to be coated with another layer of gelatine and mugwort and is dried and cut into unit sizes or wound on a spool.
