The flat body consists of a ceramic plate (1) which is covered on one side by a first metal plate (2) and on its other side by a second metal plate (3), said plates being firmly joined to the ceramic plate (1) over their entire support surface. The first metal plate (2) has a shallow recess (5) which does not extend down to the surface of the ceramic plate (1) for receiving an electronic power component. The body is used as a heat sink for a power component.
