In order to deny to unauthorized persons access to at least one of the disk drives (69, 70, 71) of a disk drive station of a computer, a device (4) is placed on the operating side of the disk drive station, so that the device covers with the front wall (6) of its housing at least one disk drive or its disk insertion slit. When other disk drives are available, users may have access to them through corresponding cut-outs (13, 14) in the front wall (6) of the housing of the device (4). The device is held on the housing (67) of the disk drive station by means of two locking members (25 and 26) capable of being actuated. The vertical slits (73) or corresponding recesses available on the housing of the disk drive station are engaged by the free ends (50) of the locking projections (46, 47) of the locking members (25, 26) for locking the disk drive. In the locking position, a key-actuated lock (21), for which only authorized persons have a key, prevents the locking members (25, 26) from being actuated. A swivelling lock (62) prevents a locking member-retaining element (31) from moving to the release position of the locking members. |
