DEVICE FOR PREVENTING CAMBER AND BENDING OF SHAPES

PURPOSE: To prevent camber and bending which are generated specially in the tip and rear end parts of a material to be rolled and to obtain a device for preventing the camber and bending of shapes with which manufacturing cost is reduced by respectively restraining the end and side parts of flanges of the material to be rolled. CONSTITUTION: Guide rollers 2 for preventing the camber in the vertical direction function as rollers for restraining the end parts of the flanges and are arranged so as to be respectively in contact with each end part of the flanges of a wide flange shape as the material 1 to be rolled. The camber in the vertical direction of the material 1 to be rolled is prevented by imparting restraint in the vertical direction to the material 1 to be rolled at each end part of the flanges 12 in the vicinity of the outlet side of a rolling roll with the guide rollers 2. In order to effectively prevent the camber in the vertical direction, it is preferable to make the gap of the guide rollers 2 and clearance to the width of the flange of the material 1 to be rolled smaller or to be in the state of no clearance. But, it is necessary to set imparting slight clearance on the outlet side of a universal rolling mill.
