PURPOSE: To provide a connector for a card which is easily mounted and is formed as a structure that a contact part of a connecting terminal is automatically cleaned during use. CONSTITUTION: A connector for a card is composed of a housing main body 2 where a contact part 6 of a connecting terminal 5 is faced to a surface and a card holder 3 where a card housing part 18 is formed on the reverse. Engaging projection straps 26a, 26b, 27a and 27b of a side edge part of the card holder 3 are engaged with grooves formed so as to be opposed to each other along both sides of the surface of the housing main body 2, and the card holder 3 can be slidingly loaded in the housing main body 2. A lock lever 13 is arranged along the surface of the housing main body 2. A latching projection of the lock lever 13 and an engaging recessed part formed on the reverse of the card holder 3 engage with each other so as to be opposed to each other, and lock a loading condition.
