PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the coupling processing of an array and an adaptive most likely sequence estimator(MLSE) and to reduce arithmetic operation by selecting a tap, with which the cumulative square error between the array output of array wait and a reference signal is made minimum, from the combination of taps of estimated channel impulse responses. SOLUTION: While using a replica corresponding to a desired wave at the MLSE as a reference signal for adaptive antenna control, plural desired waves at different delay time are fetched and synthesized by the MLSE. Concerning a path unnecessary for the MLSE, an unwanted wave can be suppressed by applying the regerence signal from the MLSE to the array. Therefore, a delay wave tending to contribute to improve characteristics can be selected and the delay waves having a little coming angle differece from a direct wave are simultaneously fetched and synthesized by the MLSE so that reception power can be effectively utilized. A VD-RLS algorithm 11 is used as an array wait adaptive algorithm and a norm restricting LMS algorithm 13 is used for desired wave channel impulse response estimation. |
