A sunshade for a motor vehicle, designed to prevent the interior from becoming overheated in sunny weather, consists of a thin fabric panel (1) coated with a layer of aluminised polyamide to reflect the sun's rays. The sunshade is fitted over the outside of the windscreen (2) and has fasteners (7) on its two ends, e.g. of hook and loop pile fabric or adhesive, which pass through the door openings and attach to similar fasteners (6) on the inside of the windscreen pillars. The fabric of the sunshade is thin enough not to interfere with the closing of the doors.
