<p>The present invention relates to an improved cutting tool, of the type having a shank for filling the tool on a machine with a revolving head stock. The cutting tool has a front section 2 fitted with teeth around the periphery 1 which form a cutting edge at the front and another at the side. The tool is characterised in that at the base of the peripheral teeth the sides of the front section of the tool have slot-shaped holes 4 that run into an axial hole 5 provided with an outlet 6 in the front part of the tool. Preferably, the slotshaped holes, in conjunction with the axial hole, form a conduit for discharging the shavings of material removed by the teeth as the tool revolves.</p> |
