The pad comprises a gripping elastic band (1) wound round itself at the end in which a piece of foam (2) is inserted. A pad compressor (3) is fixed on the band by adhesive (4) on top of the foam, allowing the absorption of blood by these two elements. The band may comprise a strip of hook and pile fastener.
