发明名称 OPTICAL FIBER COUPLER REINFORCING STRUCTURE
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the mechanical reliability of an optical fiber reinforcing structure by adhering both sides of a branching part in the tapered part of an optical fiber coupler and housing the same into a reinforcing device. SOLUTION: The terminal parts of the coating layers 11a, 12a on both sides of the optical fiber coupler and part of the bare optical fiber 11b and bare optical fiber 12b extending therefrom are adhered by adhesives 4 for fixing the main body to the recessed groove of a first member 3a and further both sides of the branching part 1c are adhered by an outer adhesive 5a and an inner adhesive 5b. The first member 3a and second member 3b are integrated to form the reinforcing device 3, by which the optical fiber reinforcing structure is completed. Since this inner adhesive 5b is sufficiently small in the coefft. of its linear expansion and small in a coating range and, therefore, the influence of the inner adhesive 5b on the optical branch coupling part 1a existing near this adhesive may be made as small as negligible.
