PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove impurities in ink without complicated work and to form a stable image continuously by arranging an ink container that contains a porous member and also ink to be supplied to a print head, in an ink jet type image forming device. SOLUTION: An ink container 32 is filled with a porous member 38 impregnated with ink, the porous member 38 is made of a sponge such as urethane and absorbs impurities in the ink. A hollow needle 29 is fixed to the other end 28a of a tube 28, and the ink container 32 and the print head 24 are connected by piercing the needle 29 into the porous member 38 through a connection 30. When ink in the ink container is used up, by removing the needle 29 and replacing the ink container 32 with a new one, continuous printing can be made. What is needed to replace the ink container 32 with a new container is only to remove the needle 29 from the old container and insert it into the new one, thus eliminating the need for complicated work. |
