PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lubricating oil composition having a low frictional coefficient under a high-temperature condition and excellent in stability of the frictional coefficient even in a long-time use. SOLUTION: This lubricating oil composition is obtained by compounding a lubricating oil base oil with (a) a sulfur-containing molybdenum-based compound, (b) at least one kind of an organic acid selected from the group comprising an aliphatic sulfonic acid, an aromatic sulfonic acid, an aromatic carboxylic acid and an aliphatic hydrocarbon group-substituted phenol. It is preferable that the compounding amount of the sulfur-containing organomolybdenum-based compound is 150-2,000 ppm as molybdenum amount and the compounding amount of the organic acid is 1-100 mmol/kg, based on weight of the lubricating oil composition. |
