The electrical component has a threaded drive shaft (3) which is rotated within a housing (1,2) for linear displacement of a sliding element (8) in contact with an electrically conductive structure applied to an insulating substrate (4). The sliding element is supported by a block (7) of a plastics resin material, with a plate spring (9) between the block and the threaded drive shaft having a projection (9b) in elastic contact with the shaft thread.
