PURPOSE: A gas driven hydraulic hammer is provided to prevent leakage of oil between a cylinder and a piston into a gas chamber by installing a wiper even when the gas chamber is placed below the piston. CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic hammer comprises: a body with a gas chamber(120); a cylinder(130) installed in the body and communicated with the gas chamber; a piston(140) reciprocally installed in the cylinder; seal rings(133) contacting with the piston; and a wiper(160) installed in an inlet of the cylinder in contact with the piston while having a protruded portion(162) elastically biased toward the piston. The nitrogen gas filled in the gas chamber is compressed by lifting up of the piston. A compressive force of the compressed gas is applied to the piston, and the piston lifts down fast. With the three seal rings and an oil film continuously formed between the seal rings and the piston, leakage of the gas through a gap(150) between the piston and the cylinder is avoided.
