PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make easily judgeable whether a bedewing of a tape cassette itself is started or not by arranging a temperature detecting means at the visible position of the tape cassette and providing a window part on an upper shell. SOLUTION: The temperature detecting means 15 is provided at the position visible from the outside, the temperature detecting means 15 is provided on an upper flange 4a of at least one of both tape reels 4 and 5, preferably, of the supply side tape reel 4, and a temperature detecting means 16 is arranged at the peripheral part of a window part 8, the tape reel 4 faces, as well. Concerning these temperature detecting means 15 and 16, an adhesive layer is provided on one surface (lower surface) while using a reversible temperature managing member in a prescribed (short strip) thin plate or tape shape and arranged by sticking. Since it is necessary to make the temperature detecting means 15 provided on the upper flange 4a visible from the outside through the window part 8, this means is further provided at one spot at least.
