PURPOSE: A cylinder-shaped sludge dewatering system is provided, which is characterized in that the system can dewater sludge generated from a water purification plant or a wastewater treatment plant and then the dewatered sludge(with 20-30% of water content) is disposed of or recycled. CONSTITUTION: A cylinder-shaped sludge dewatering system consists of the following parts: a cylinder-shaped dewatering filter press(1) to filtrate the sludge by using filtration net; a water tank(2) containing compressed air equipped with a compressed air pump(3) connected from the filter press(1); a coagulants injector(4) with a pump(5); a sludge thickener(6) with a stirrer(7) connected from the injector(4) and to the filter press(1) through a pump(8); a diaphragm at the side of the net to compress with water containing compressed air; and sludge-separation diaphragms at the sides of the net.
