PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air filter which is excellent in dust collectability, low in pressure drop, excellent in dust capturing efficiency and is great in the degree of freedom in shapes and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The side walls parting adjacent flow passages of the filter which is arranged in parallel to a flow direction of air current and of which the side walls have many flow passages of the filter materials are formed of the common filter materials and the filter is provided with at least one partitions in the flow direction. The fluid shielded by the partitions passes the filter materials of the side walls and flows to the adjacent flow passages. The partitions of the one flow passage relating to the at least two flow passages adjacent to each other exist in a plurality, at least one partitions of the other flow passages are disposed in the different positions between the partitions, and the air passes the filter materials above two times. The method for manufacturing the same consists in alternately laminating the filter materials 1 and the filter materials 2 by shaping the filter materials to a pleat form, then repeating superposing of the flat filter material 2 on one surface of the filter materials 1 formed with the partitions in the prescribed positions and fusing or adhering of the contact portions thereof. |
