PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion joint for a structure capable of continuously forming a road surface, etc., according to dislocation of a connected part of the structure, preventing damages of a structural body floor surface, reducing impact and vibration of the road surface and easily carrying out maintenance and control. SOLUTION: This expansion joint for the structure constitutes its characteristic feature of being furnished with a frame body to be set on floor bed end surfaces on both sides, a tilting body provided inside of the frame body and an expansion floor material forming a floor surface, that the tilting body has leg parts provided on the frame bodies on both sides and a pedestal provided to straddle on these leg parts and free to tilt, that a bridging part of the expansion floor material is supported by this pedestal and that the continuous floor surface is formed as the pedestal tilts by following relative positional variation of the frame body and the bridging part of the expansion floor material is deformed.
