PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guard pipe for a road securing the mounting strength of a guard pipe main body and a cap divided vertically in two preventing breakage at the time of collision of a vehicle, and realizing improvement of visibility at the night time and safety and reduction of manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The guard pipe 11 for the road is furnished with the guard pipe main body 12 having a cutting surface cut toward an intermediate part from an upper end edge, the cap 13 having an insertion and extraction part 13a free to insert into and extract from it and a head part to make contact with an end surface of the guide pipe main body 12 on its upper end part and a reflective sheet material 14. The cutting surface is continuously or intermittently formed in a ring shape in the peripheral direction. The reflective sheet material 14 is attached on the same cutting surface. Additionally, a flat machine screw insertion hole 12b is formed on the cutting surface, and a machine screw mounting hole 13c is provided on the insertion and extraction part 13a of the cap 13 in correspondence with the same machine screw insertion hole.
