PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the flexibility of the arrangement design of a guide member adjustment mechanism by shortening the base size of a pickup moving mechanism, particularly the size of the longitudinal direction of the guide member in an optical disk unit, and to provide a guide member adjustment mechanism which provides stable positioning while reducing the number of components. SOLUTION: The vertical movement of the guide tip holding part 51a energized in a direction separating from a base 16 by a supporting member 41 which is fixed on a base 16 and guides the end 15a of a guide member 15 to support an optical pickup 8 freely vertically movably, and an elastic member 51 which has the tabular guide tip holding part 51a engaging with the end 15a of the guide member 15 to hold it, is performed in a direction vertical to the moving direction of the optical pickup by the amount of tightening an adjustment screw 53 which is inserted into the elastic member and is screwed onto the base. The positioning of the guide member 15 is enabled in the same direction.
