PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyethylenic film for compression packaging excellent in tear strength and impact strength and hard to generate a printing crack, and to provide a compression packaging bag. SOLUTION: In the polyethylenic film for compression packaging, the load of the film calculated when the film is stretched by 2% in its TD direction is within a specific range, and a yield stress peak height calculated when the film is stretched in the TD direction is within a specific range. Consequently, the compression packaging bag is obtained using the polyethylenic film. Preferably, the polyethylenic film for compression packaging comprises three layers, that is, an outer layer, an intermediate layer and an inner layer. The outer and inner layers may be same or different and are composed of a resin containing a specific ethylene/α-olefin copolymer (A) of which the melt flow rate is within a constant range and the density is within a specific range. The intermediate layer comprises a resin containing a specific ethylene/α-olefin copolymer (B) of which the melt flow rate is within a constant range and the density is within a specific range and the average density thereof is within a specific range.
