<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent exactly the collision of an objective lens and a disk in an optical disk device. <P>SOLUTION: A magnitude (Ga) of impact applied to a lens holder is monitored always on the basis of an output of an impact sensor, when it is judged that Ga exceeds Gth (YES at S1), a focus servo is released (S2), and such force as receding from a disk is applied to the lens holder (S3). And Ga is checked again, when it is judged that Ga becomes less than Gth (YES at S4), the force applied to the lens holder at S3 is released (S5), and focus servo is restarted (S6). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
