Process automation system control uses field bus system with connection to internet server for device management

The network [LAN1] has multiple work stations [WS1,WS2] coupled to a data bus [D1]. Coupled to the field bus [FB] are a number of field devices [F1-4], such as sensors, actuators ,etc. A laptop computer [BE] connects the field bus to the Internet and to a service server [S] allowing drivers to be provided for the field devices.
