A method for implementing the member deletion by the sink side of LCAS comprises that: A. the sink side informs the member which is to be deleted to reach the deleting status after receiving the member deleting indication; B. the sink side determines whether the inform response from the source side is received, and if it hasn't, the member to be deleted keeps the deleting status and waits, and the payloads continues being read from the member to be deleted; if it has, the status of the member to be deleted is transferred to IDLE status. A sink side status machine for implementing the method of the present invention. A remove status for the member status is introduced newly at the sink side, which enables the sink side to stop reading payloads from the member to be deleted while the source side stops mapping payload at the member to be deleted and the adjustment of the source side bandwidth and sink side bandwidth is completed at the same time such that the payload wouldn't be harmed.
